Apolakkia A place worth-seeing in Rhodes, Greece

At a distance of 92 kilometers from Rhodes city, Apolakkia is a pretty diminutive as well as a silent village in Rhodes Island. Being close to Lindos, it can be reached by following the Gennadi to Vati highway. The village seems as if it constructed inside a ditch. According to a myth, its name has been derived from lakos (Greek) which means ditch.

In order to explore two famous places, you should visit Kattavia located at a small distance from the temple. One among them is the foundations of the Agia Irini church of the 6th century. The other one is the ruins of a paleochristian temple dedicated to Saint Anastasia. Both these sights come into Zonara region in Rhodes Island.
Apolakkia Beach:
Apolakkia Beach commonly termed as Limni Beach, is 3500 meters in length and 35 meters in width. This prominent beach gets crowded in summer season. To access this beach, you should follow the way going down from Apolakkia in the direction of Katavia. You are also advised to follow the signs. You can have a shower along with a parking area. You cannot find any other transportation facility from this place.
